Dear Chairman Shapiro,
I am writing to encourage you to reinstate the uptick rule with regard to short sales in the stock markets. In addition I encourage you to enforce the requirement that short sellers borrow stock in order to prevent naked short selling. I believe that this would result in more orderly stock markets and would protect individual shareholders.
