Subject: Reinstatement of the Uptick Rule

January 31, 2009

By allowing a wealthy person to short a stock down to whatever price he wishes, the US stock market is no longer worthy of investment. I am a bit player in this industry managing less than $100 million in capital, but because the uptick rule (if properly enforced) only allows the rich entity to cap a stocks rise rather than drive it down, I would resume the use of US Stock markets as a depository of my clients capital---------------if the Uptick rule was reinstated. I suggest that you do it sooner rather than later, because this is the reason there has been no 1930’t type of rally. Without a rally soon----the USA Stock markets probably won’u exist as we know it in 2012.
