Dear Sir:
I am writing to request the uptick rule be re-instated, which requires that a stock must move
upward in price before it can be sold short. This offers an alternative to an outright ban on short
selling and the uptick rule severely curtails the ability of "naked" shorts to destroy the share
price of small, and in some cases, large companies.
