Here is an idea. since there seems to be BLATANT problems in the SEC regarding looking out for the investor, how about banning all sales that hedge stock. One share would then only represent ONE share. I as an investor, do not like to see the big guys manipulate the markets to their advantage on the profit side. If I did this I would be thrown in jail. Stop the "special" treatment of the big funds and market makers and treat them like the way you treat the "average Joe" investor. Is it to much to ask you people at the SEC to do your job and look out for the investor? As for the uptick rule it is better than what we have out there now. You people at the SEC need to step up to the plate and do the job you are paid for, protecting the investor.
