instituting the short selling day circuit breaker is important, also bringing back the uptick rule. Today,6/17 for example they (the street) pushed the stock of potash down 10%, $11.00. Mainly it is hedge funds and when they short a stock many hedge funds work together in unison. The small individual investor cannot compete. Anything the SEC can do, that can one, protect a company from unfair hedge fund trade practices ganging up on them, or two, help the little investor who doesn't have the same power or access to news as the big traders, would be welcome.
