I am in full favor of re establishing the up tick rule on selling stock short. I do not favor any changes in the rule which work so well for over 70 years. I plan on writing congressmen as well in support.
If current S.E.C. members choose not to recognize their failed analysis done in a bull market, I think all but the new head should be forced to resign. Enough is enough with leeting hedge funds manipulate the market with no consequences.
