Please count me as strongly in favor of reinstating the uptick rule. I am an experienced private investor that feels the intent of stock sales to finance business and reward good companies with increasing value for their shares has been subverted by traders. There is no place in our economy for converting the stock market into a casino and the lack of an uptick rule and fast computers certainly increases that possibility.
