i believe the uptick rule is a good rule and helps keep an orderly market with out it hedge funds large investors relintlessly trade down stocks especially small companies and hamper a possible come back by preventing it from barrowing money in some cases causeing bankrupcy of a company that might otherwise prosper and create jobs short selling for the most part is i believe a healthy tool for the market reinstate the uptick
