I thank Jim Cramer and company for filing this petition. I fully agree with their assessment of the Uptick Rule. After reading this petition, I can see how the SEC failed to protect small investors like me, and has facilitated the recent tremendous losses to the retirement savings of individuals, a loss in efficacy and solvency of many corporations, and a decline in confidence in our economic system. I'm also concerned that the Uptick Rule apply to Short ETF's as well as stocks. As has been pointed out, the Uptick Rule was eliminated before the introduction of Short ETF's, which warrants a reconsideration of the usefulness of the "Uptick Rule".
