As a retail investor I withdrew all my equity investments from global markets in Jauary 2008 and I am now holding cash. I will not return to the equity markets until I am confident that the wide range of market predators such as unregulated shortsellers are being effectively controlled. For this reason I support this regulation but feel that there are further steps that can be taken to deal with predatory market activities. Such steps would include better control of hedge fund activities
