I ask that restrictions be enforced on short selling. In particular the "uptick" rule should be reinstated before short bids can be made. In addition "naked" shorts should not be allowed.
The integrity of the equity markets should be enforced by the US government and provide a level field for all investors and traders. Equities should not be treated as commodities, especially since we have just witnessed the outcome of such a trading philosophy, resulting from a lack enforcement by the SEC.
