If I am to continue to invest in the stock market as a small investor, I will need to see the uptick rule reinstated. I feel that I have been crushed on investments of specific stocks because of the lack of the uptick rule as well as naked short selling being allowed in the market place. The small investor cannot compete with the large investment funds that are allowed to force the price of a particular stock down.
