Bring back the uptick rule It was meant to protect small investors like myself from bear raids on a company's stock. It was created in the Great Depression and lasted until a few years ago. During that time, it didn't seem to have any negative effects on the stock market, but after it was repealed, we had one of the worst market sell offs in history Coincidence? I think not
Please protect the average investor (and capitalism itself) and bring back the uptick rule
