We should not have waited this long to review the uptick rule reinstatement. Doing away with this rule was a short sighted judgement made in a bull market period. It may actually be too late to help us in the current market upheaval and I am somewhat dismayed that the SEC is JUST NOW getting around to examining this rule...is this what market oversight from the SEC looks like? If so, the taxpayer is once again getting raked over the coals. Reinstatement of the uptick rule should have been done by the SEC nearly a year ago...I am disappointed in my SEC.
