I am writing to voice my strong support for the SEC to reinstate the "uptick" rule to prevent short sellers from driving the markets down and literally destroying companies.
We have just witnessed the worst recession since the great depression. I personally lost over 20% of my retirement account. I am of the belief, as does the Chairman of the Federal Reserve, that the uptick rule - had it been in place- would have made the situation less disasterous. We can't let this happen again.
