Please do not enact an uptick rule. It will make less liquidity. All traders will do is trade more liquid stocks to get shorts off leaving less liquid stocks alone creating less volume and liquidity for the small stocks. It really doesn't make sense reversing a rule that was enacted. Why not enact a downtick rule for buying stocks??
