The elimination of the uptick rule has caused great harm to our financial markets. It allows Hedge Funds and Investor groups to literally manipulate the markets to the point of bringing a lot of legit companies to the point of financial collapse. It also causes distrust of the markets at the retail level. The USA financial markets need to be regulated to the fullest extend if you want Americans to regain any trust in our markets. I personally believe the US financial markets are the most corrupt cesspool on Planet Earth and is in bed with Hedge Funds and big Institutions. I feel that less regulation in the markets promotes criminal activity as well as probably financial terrorism.
