As a small business owner and investor, I strongly believe some version of an uptick rule reinstatement is essential for a continuation of the progress toward calmer and fairer markets. Additionally, I believe the SEC should examine the related issue of double and triple factor exchange traded funds, which I think add unusual volatility to the stock market, particularly in the final hour of trading each day. I am concerned that now that the market panic of the past months is (hopefully) behind us, the SEC will neglect its responsibility to follow up on these critical issues. The economic and financial picture is still quite tenuous, after all.
