The Uptick rule must be re-instated to ensure the vitality of the market. The extreme volatility being experience in the current market setting is a virtual playground for shorting. This volatility mixed with shorts will continue to beat the market down until there is a stop placed and the uptick rule is re-instated. This is a must if the market is to fully recover in a timely manner.
