Short selling is used for speculative purposes only, therefore I am in strong favor of any initiatives limiting or preventing short selling and any other speculative activities benefiting a few greedy individuals instead of the investors community as a whole.
All speculation does is take away value from the market without any positive contribution worth mentionning.
