Dear Commissioners: I am a retired individual, who invests in common stock to supplement my income. I strongly urge that the Commission reinstate the Uptick Rule that existed prior to 2007, without any modifications, including those suggested by staff and others. The prior rule served this nation and individual investors well for decades and the Commission blundered when it made the decision in 2007 without adequate historical data and reflection.
I also oppose naked short selling and I believe that it should be abolished entirely.
