I am strongly in support of reinstating the uptick rule.
As a small investor that spends 3-4 hours a day following the Markets, while working a full time job. A free and fair Market is essential to my ever having a hope of retiring from that full time work.
Leveling the playing field does not mean the Markets will be any less free. But fairness is even more essential for the system to work in the long run.
