Ladies and Gentlemen:
I am an engineer, not a dedicated financier. However I read the petition and signed it you will be receiving.
From what I have seen recently the uptick rule would be good to return to active duty.
The integrity of "the market" is imperative for investors whom are easily misled by professionl market players. The recent debacle might have been fore-stalled if the uptick rule was in place, and other rules also enforced.
Those of us who are not professionals rely on you to keep our funds reasonably safe from market players many with "inside" information.
