I am writing in support of the uptick rule that SEC is currently considering.
I am a small investor who has worked very hard to save some money and invested it in the market. I have worked hard to educate myself (with help from Jim Cramer of CNBC) in the arena of investing and it is appalling to me to see that the SEC actually recreated the loophole that had already been closed. Like millions of small guys (and big honest ones too) we look to SEC to put in place rules that make investing fair for all of us. The repeal of the uptick rule has been very bad for us as it has tilted the playing field in favor of unscrupulous short sellers.
