It seems to me that the "uptick rule" maintains a certain stability in markets prices for stocks under stress.

Is it not reasonable to make SPECULATORS and MANIPULATORS wait for an uptick before further action? To do otherwise is to condone the "feeding frenzy syndrone" that results in basically sound companies being picked to the bare bones.

Please re-instate the pre-2007 uptick rule.
