I wholeheartedly agree that the "Uptick" rule needs to be reinstated and overhauled. It's the best possible policy to reduce volatility in the Market and encourage individual investors like myself to invest. Once again introducing discipline in trading can't help but reduce the abuses we now experience, day to day. Enough of the daily whipsaw caused by shortselling Case in point, the almost daily gradual and orderly climb of GE back to viability as opposed to the many stocks decimated by greed.
