Please reinstate the uptick rule.
I have traded both long and short since about 2000. The uptick rule prevented disastrous slides like those that happened last year.
I would prefer to see the uptick rule reinstated because I don't like watching my IRA fall 60 per cent in equities and now crawl like a fly up the Empire State Building back up ever so slowly.
I did not create a life savings account to see shorts destroy it.
