Please consider reinstating the uptick rule.
The rule worked well for 70 years thru changing markets. It kept
bear raids from happening. The SEC in its wisdom experimented with
dropping the rule. The result has been the great decline in wealth for the
average investor in stock and retirement accounts.
How many more companies need to be forced into bankruptcy,by short sellers?
If you don't restate the rule the average investor WILL NOT
have confidence in the markets.
Panic and Fear are not good for markets.
Please bring back the uptick rule and restore balance to the market.
