Please implement something to stop this short selling. I've seen it too many times, the short sellers literally drive the stock into the ground. They even do it to ETF stocks with low volume.
Its usually done buy people who have a lot of cash which gives them the ability to manipulate the price.
Some people claim it will do nothing. Well if it does nothing, then why are they throwing such a fit about it? I don't buy the fact that short selling helps anything. It does nothing but gradually drive the stock into the ground. The stock market had no problems in the past when the uptick rule was implemented, which is proof in itself that it doesn't hurt anything.
The circuit break idea I think is what would have very little value.
