I believe that the uptick rule has been a major factor in the crash of the markets. This rule served us well for many years and there is no reason that it should not be reinstated just as it was. Why are we even taking the time to review other possible versions when the answer is written on the wall. Please do what is right by the individual investor and reinstate the rule as it was. Reinstate the rule and then take take the time to investigate - its really not that hard to figure out.
