You can clearly see what has happened before and after you have removed the uptick rule Without the uptick rule in-place, is like a "free for all" in the market place where the most savvy traders and large hedge funds can manipulate the market for their own profits at the expense of everybody else... There will never be any stability or confidence in the market place without some kind of rules. A market place without rules is like a lawless country
Uncle Sam will have to constantly reach very very deep into his many pockets to keep "rescueing" the banks.
Only to find that he is constanly chasing his own tail. It's a viscous race to the bottom that must be stopped
