Dear SEC,

Way back when, an uptick rule was in place for shorting stocks. You, the SEC removed that rule. Maybe you should look back as to why that rule was originally put into place and just reinstate it across the board. The temporary actions taken for and on behalf of the financials is really too late. And if you are watching the markets you are surely aware of the rotation between the financials and commodity type stocks. The "short" rotation will obviously follow and by the time it is realized it will, like the financial sector be too late.

I ask that your review boards go back to the origination of the uptick rule and see if maybe it doesn't make sense.
