The division between the haves and the have nots grows daily.
Companies that don't pay a living wage are huge part of the problem. Companies that hold their employess as slaves, because they can, by the threat of either work or strave should be held accountable. This form of slavery is also growing in middle management. Salaries workers are abused more so at times that hourly workers. At least the hourly workers can, if really desperate, hopefully find more paid hours working another job. Salaried workers are forced to work often 7 days a week in order to keep the job they have. Men over 50 are especially vulnerable to loosing their job, then being over qualified to be hired at another.
When people are desperate for survival it effects family life and children.
Companies that are allowed to get richer and richer off underpaid staff should be held in some way accountable. The cost to our country is immeasurable. It keeps our country vunerable because it takes away from the strength of our people.
