It is an exceptional act for you to propose the change. I felt whole heartily that we had to make such progress.
In 1687 Boston there were, out of a population of 6,000, about 1,000 property owners, and that the top 5% - 1% of the population - consisted of 50 rich individuals who had 25% of the wealth. By 1770, the top 1% of property owners owned 44% of the wealth.
Does it sound awfully familiar? Are we, the majority of the society, getting better or worse? Has the humanity progressed since 1770?
America is proud of its democracy. Yet where do you see democracy in corporate?
Please get bipartisan support and pass the regulation. You'll get a lot resistance because people only see what you are disciplined to see. Don't be discouraged. You are making history.
