Deciphering a prospectus for a mutual fund is a difficult task, and reading company yearly reports is a chore under the current disclosure rules. We need MORE disclosure and more readable documents all the way around. And those are the simple things: vanilla stocks and simple mutual funds. Allowing less disclosure for anything more complicated is insane, and will produce a whole generation of indigent elderly who have lost their retirement. Documents should be simple enough to "explain it to my grandmother".
