Please revise the definition of an "Accredited Investor" to allow persons of any wage bracket to participate in the private markets.
This will increase lending to small businesses (ie. from friends, family, crowdfunding) even when large institutions have tightened their lending practices.
The net worth test unwillingly discriminates against the vast majority of Americans including the middle class and graduate students who start out with a lower salary in an economy where salaries are stagnating.
A large number of graduates like myself are eager to invest in the private markets, but are stifled with by this broad based law that assumes a lower salary/net worth means a lower financial IQ.
