DUH ------ In 2012 the SEC Did A STUDY on "Tick Size"
They tested INCREASING the SPREAD in "smaller companies" under a few Billion $$$ valuations.
What they SOON DISCOVERED WAS: NO Good Effects WHATSOEVER with INCREASING Spreads.
Any fool can see that Spreads between "Buyer and Seller" "SET THEMSELVES" I.E. I want to PAY ONLY $5.26 and NOT a penny More. The Seller Would ACCEPT $5.26 BUT NOT $5.25 so NO DEAL (trade) is Made --- THAT HELPS Investors or Buyers or Sellers?????? I don't think so BOTH Are HURT
Liquidity is the KEY to ANYTHING. LACK OF LIQUIDITY Could CAN DOES BANKRUPT MANY Firms
"A PENNY" Literally Is HUGE. "Tight Markets" CREATE "EASE of Liquidity" Chance for BOTH Investors and Owners To PROSPER
Who the hell are YOU To LIMIT Any "FREE MARKETS" ???

God, I recall Trying to Trade when The Big Boys (Merrill Lynch, JPM, etc. and ALL the rest of the Brokers TOOK NEARLY $100 FROM ME (and EVERYONE) to make a $500 Purchase or sale of a FEW SHARES of Stock Ridiculous then FOR ME FREE TRADE or "Little Guys" (US Citizens) BUT FANTASTIC For THE BIG BOYS
---- THINK THIS::::: Why Do All RETAIL Businesses ADVERTISE $9.99, or $24,799.99, etc. RATHER than $10 or $24,800 ????? ----- REASON:::: It ENCOURAGES TRADE
But YOU IGNORE Both "The Millions of Retailers" the SEC and It's STUDY that PROVES "increasing the spread between ask and bid prices" Is NOT GOOD For ANYTHING
