As an individual investor, I would like to express my concerns about loosening the rules for a company trying to go public. To this day, I have only invested in USA domiciled companies because of the tough standards they must meet in accounting methods, reporting, etc. There are a million shysters out there trying to get my money dishonestly (just had my bank stop my debit card for fraudulent charges on it)and I would like to retire someday.
If there's a way to game a system, there are intelligent, creative individuals out there who will do it. Wall Street has plenty working there as it is.
Please help the individual investor with few assets to invest and a lot to lose by reinstating strict rules for companies looking to go public.
