The JOBS ACT seems to be severely misguided legislation. The link between job creation and the provisions of the JOBS ACT is tenuous at best. For many of us who don't quite meet the definition of "investor," there may be in indirect negative effect. Hedge fund startups drain money which might have gone to expanding the business of small companies which benefit from investments by legitimate venture capital firms.
