In monitoring the international supply chain, we need to ask that companies monitor the source to protect against slavery The new law requires companies to disclose "due diligence on the source" of conflict minerals originating in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Due diligence on the source of these minerals should be defined to include a description of efforts to monitor the source of the supply chain to protect against slavery and other human rights violations.
