Dear Securities and Exchange Comm.,

The recent ruling by the Supreme Court in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission has changed our electoral process.

I am writing to urge the Securities and Exchange Commission to issue a rule requiring publicly traded corporations to publicly disclose all political spending so that we can see why and to whom the funds are being given. Such posting should be required to be posted promptly, and at least within 2 weeks of the funds donation on the SEC’s web site.

We have already seen the influence of large dollar donations and the obfuscation of the source of these funds in the 2012 election. I think the Citizens ruling was wrong but until it can be overturned or a Constitutional Amendment passed to change it we must be able to clearly see who is contributing substantial money to any campaign.

Thank you for considering my comment.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Dale E. Lawrence
