Subject: Comment on File Number 4-637

April 28, 2012

Dear members of the Securities and Exchange Commission:

I wholeheartedly support a rule which would require publicly traded corporations to disclose their political spending.

True, such a rule probably would be challenged in court, and the Supreme Court could eventually apply its bizarre "corporate personhood" doctrine to decide the rule is unconstitutional. But at least then the public would see yet another example of how wrong and harmful that doctrine is and how urgently we need to take steps to eliminate it.

It's not the job of the SEC to correct the mistakes of the Supreme Court, but neither do you need to pretend that nonsensical legal theories make sense, Thanks for considering my comment.

Sincerely,

Todd Eddy
