Subject: File No. 4-637

February 2, 2013

Dear Members of the Securities and Exchange Commission:

I am one of the 47%.  I don't have the money to slip thousand dollar bills to the politicians.  With the new laws being passed state by state to disenfranchise one party over the other and the members of that party, and the millions from lobbyists who put out misleading ads without consequence, you have the ability to act on behalf of the American people.  It's long past time to end secret political spending by corporations.

I am pleading with you to issue a rule that would require publicly traded corporations to publicly disclose all their spending on political activities.

Both shareholders and the public deserve to know how much a given corporation spends on politics (directly and through intermediaries), and which candidates are being promoted or attacked.

Thank you for considering my comment.

Sincerely,

B. Manderscheid
