It is critical that the SEC provide investors some assurance of transparency in financial reporting. I am disappointed that the SEC has not endorsed the rule requiring publicly traded corporations to disclose political spending.
Investors have every right to know how much corporations spend on politics and which candidates, parties and PACs are supported. Disclosures should be publicly available to all investors and analyst.
