The Securities and Exchange Commission

Dear Securities and Exchange Commission,

I own stock via my 401k funds. Just like any typical investor, when the market does well, I make gains, and when it does poorly I suffer loses.

However, right now I lack the basic rights to be informed of where the money is being spent on political matters, so I am unable to make informed decisions that reflect my values not just as an investor but as an American citizen.

To protect our democracy on which our capitalism thrives, shareholders and the public must be fully informed as to how much a corporation spends on politics and which candidates are being promoted or attacked.

I urge the Securities and Exchange Commissiont to issue a rule requiring publicly-traded corporations to disclose all their political spending.

Sincerely,

Ronald Mccoy
