SEC

I am deeply concerned about the influence of corporate money on our electoral process.

In particular, I am appalled that, because of the Supreme Court's ruling in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission, publicly traded corporations can spend investors' money in secret.

I am writing to urge the Securities and Exchange Commission to issue a rule requiring publicly traded corporations to publicly disclose all their political spending.

Both shareholders and the public must be fully informed as to how much the corporation spends on politics and which candidates are being promoted or attacked. Disclosures should be posted promptly on the SEC's web site.

I am so sick of corporations buying OUR country. If the common person doesn't have any money left to contribute to the politician of his choice, how do we have a chance to save our country from the corporations who want to rule everything we do, IE, Monsanto, who wants to poison US with the chemicals they put on our tables, We don't have enough money to feed our families all organic, we don't know that the food our chickens, beef, pork etc isn't fed grains that were grown on fields sprayed with chemicals, made by Monsanto. May God have mercy on the United States of America, and may we continue to have a free country

Thank you for considering my comment.

Sincerely,

Joyce Wells
