SEC Comment file 4-637
Dear Comment file 4-637,
Corporate money is buying our electoral process to the detriment of our democracy.
It is very troubling that the Supreme Court's ruling in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission allows publicly traded corporations to spend investor's money - my money, as I am an investor - on political activity with no disclosure requirements.
This secrecy in politics must stop. Therefore I urge the Securities and Exchange Commission to issue a rule requiring publicly traded corporations to publicly disclose ALL! their political spending.
Furthermore, disclosures should be posted promptly on the SEC's web site and available to the public.
Thank you for this opportunity to comment.
