Securities and Exchange Commission

Dear Securities and Exchange Commission,

I was horrified by the Supreme Court Citizens United decision . Corporations are NOT citizens, in my opinion. Since that decision, corporations, especially energy and extractive companies, have taken advantage of the lack of oversight into their influence on legislators. Many of their actions, like fracking in areas with significant populations, and strip mining polluting waterways. are clearly not in the public interest. And I am personally offended by the Koch brothers hidden uses of their money to buy influence. I strongly urge you to return to, and enforce, the rule requiring public companies to disclose political spending. Expanding it to cover privately owned companies should come next.

Please enact rule #4-637. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Anne Freeny
