Subject: Comment on File Number 4-637

Dear Members of the Securities and Exchange Commission:

Money corrupts our political life. Getting the influence of money out of the political process should be goal one. Since this is so unlikely, in the face of established practices, at least let us know WHO is trying to pull the strings's. AS an agency with a strong consumer protection mission, please rule that sources of funding must be revealed.

Thepublic deserves to know how about the corporate attempts to influence public policy.

Thank you for doing the difficult, demanding regulatory work necessary to keep our public securities market fair for the players and public.

Surely routine disclosures of attempts to influence public policy are a part of the core of the SEC mandate. Thank you for your consideration of my comment.

LelandPettis, Esq.

Sincerely,
