Subject: Comment on File Number 4-637

February 2, 2013

Dear Members of the Securities and Exchange Commission:

How can I determine the political spending by corporations I have stock?

I expect the SEC to issue rules which will allow me to easily identify the 'secretive' political funding done by corporations. This laundering of corporation value is funneled through politically active intermediaries like the U.S> Chamber of Commerce or the industry groups like American Petroleum Insitute.

Shareholders like myself and the public deserve to know the contributions (both real $ and in services) given by corporation spends on politics (directly and through intermediaries), and which candidates are being promoted or attacked.

Thank you for considering my comment.

Sincerely,

James Oppedahl
